Meet The Team
Paul Latour
General Manager
Paul Latour is a social entrepreneur and changemaker dedicated to building businesses that create lasting impact. As General Manager of Your Place Victoria, he leads a thriving social enterprise that delivers exceptional property services while providing life-changing employment to individuals overcoming homelessness, addiction, and other barriers.
With deep experience in social enterprise development, Paul has helped make Your Place a vital piece of Our Place Society’s Healing Pathway, bridging the gap between recovery and financial independence. He works alongside industry professionals, community leaders, and purpose-driven clients to create sustainable employment opportunities that strengthen both lives and communities.
James Pegg
Operations Manager
James was born and raised in the Lower Mainland in a family that had a business in gardening and light landscaping. After living in various parts of B.C., he now calls Vancouver Island his home. He comes into this role with over 20 years of experience in landscaping and other adjacent roles, such as irrigation, hardscape, tree farming, and heavy machine operation. James also brings with him 10 years of working in senior management, with a focus on safety, team building, community involvement, and volunteer work.
He has always had a place in his heart for the unhoused and otherwise stigmatized populations. One of his greatest passions lies in helping others achieve things they didn't know they could do. He is excited for the opportunity to play an active role in changing the perception around what recovery can look like. We will walk a path of victory together, supporting each other and impacting the communities that surround us. James comes into Your Place with an understanding of the impact that having someone in your corner can provide.

Julian Daly

He has been a frontline worker and a manager in a wide range of programs and projects over the years, which have included housing, poverty reduction, community engagement, HIV/AIDS, harm reduction, the differently abled, employment, youth services, social enterprises, health, education, and children and family services.

Joshua Bixby
Joshua Bixby is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and social impact leader with a proven track record in scaling successful companies and driving meaningful change. As a key early supporter of Your Place, he has provided strategic insight, financial modelling, and corporate structuring expertise, helping lay the foundation for its long-term success.
Over his career, Joshua has raised over $1.5 billion in capital, led teams of 1,200+ employees, and taken companies like Fastly public on the NYSE. He is also the co-founder of KOHO, a fair banking platform, and Alavida, a tech-driven addiction recovery service.
Beyond business, Joshua is a dedicated philanthropist, supporting organizations like Anawim Society and Seachange, and remains committed to using entrepreneurship as a tool for economic empowerment and social change.

Glenn Cheater
Glenn is a veteran journalist and editor. He sits on the board of Our Place Society and is one of the organization’s two representatives on the Your Place board. He is a strong supporter of Our Place’s goal of providing a continuum of support for those moving from homelessness and deep poverty to independence, of which meaningful employment is often a key component.
